About ENRICH

History

The ENRICH program was founded in the Fall of 2020 by Dr. Joya Hampton-Anderson, Assistant Professor and Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist at Emory School of Medicine. Since then, our team has expanded to include a research coordinator, two social workers, and multiple research assistants.

Purpose

The ENRICH program is a clinical research program that seeks to understand how to improve the treatment of mental health concerns in youth who are impacted most with a focus on protective factors such as bolstering positive identity factors.

Design

The ENRICH program is a community-based participatory research lab that uses mixed methods (i.e., quantitative and qualitative methods) to pursue two lines of inquiry, which are:  1) What are the mechanisms by which contextual stressors influence psychological distress? 2) How do we best design and implement culturally competent interventions to reduce health disparities?

Reach

The ENRICH program currently serves the state of Georgia.
